[FTC]: Matrix or Tetrix?

We are finally getting an FTC event going in our neck of the woods (Louisiana) and so our team is taking the plunge.

I see that we have 2 KOP vendor choices for FTC, Matrix and Tetrix. What are the pros and cons of each? Are parts from one usable/compatible with parts from the other?

Any advice would be appreciated before I order my KOP and accessories.

Re: [FTC]: Matrix or Tetrix?

There was a pretty good conversation (filed in the incorrect forum) earlier this year.

Welcome to FTC, as an Alumni of ULL I'm happy to see FIRST spreading in Louisiana!

Re: [FTC]: Matrix or Tetrix?

It seems to me that Tetrix is more rigid, but I don't know anything else.

Re: [FTC]: Matrix or Tetrix?

My personal choice is Tetrix. We have used it for our 5 years that we have been a team. But since the rules have loosened up so that custom parts and other COTS are alowed. We HAVE moved away from the kit parts. Here is the 1st Part of the Manual for this next season. These are all of the rules except for the game and its rules. It is a good time to take a look at it.

I hope this helps.
