Solidworks Workgroup PDM issues

I've purchased a VPS server, installed Windows Server 2012 R2, configured the Vault, forwarded the right ports and setup a VPN on the server. My client can connect over the VPN and they can ping each other successfully but when I try to connect to the vault I get a "could not connect error". Any suggestions?

Make sure you enable the ports in Windows Firewall.

Yup I created rules for those ports on the client and server. They all seem to be open when checked

Re: Solidworks Workgroup PDM issues

Got it mostly working! I used the servers ip rather than the name and it worked! Unfortunately it means I have a DNS issue which I'm not sure how to fix.

Re: Solidworks Workgroup PDM issues

Team 2761 here, as a senior, I want to set up Workgroup PDM for them so they can have it after I leave. Out of curiosity, which one do you have? I am trying to weigh my options.
