[OCCRA]: Safe Zone clarification

I'm Mitchell McNeill from Team 302 and our team was wondering if your entire robot must be in the safe zone for the bot to be considered safe or if you can have just a part of your robot in the zone and be safe?

Re: [OCCRA]: Safe Zone clarification

If the contact occurs inside the GOAL SAFE ZONE (in front of the shelves) or in the HP SAFE ZONE, there will be a penalty called, regardless of whether part of the robot is outside the SAFE ZONE. The only way for a robot to be 100% protected is to be 100% inside the respective SAFE ZONE. Drivers must understand: It is not always easy for refs to tell if every part of the victimized robot is inside the safe area, so they will call the penalty if the robot is in the act of loading (for the HP SAFE ZONE) or in the act of scoring, even though some small portion of their robot is still outside the SAFE ZONE. We will not be using video replay or challenges--refs will be focused on the contact itself and on its effect as they see it..
Drivers should also understand that if a robot is attempting to load CRATES and your robot hits it, you are putting a Human Player at risk and the refs won't care whether some portion of the victimized robot was sticking a little outside the zone--the rule is here to protect the HPs.
