Tax-Deductibility In Canada

Hey Everyone,

Our team is associated with our school, which should have charitable status in Canada (please correct me if I'm wrong), and we're interested in seeing how other teams allow sponsors to deduct tax through sponsorship while in association with their school. We're looking for any Canadian (though others are certainly welcome) teams that would know how we could get this done.

My team is part of the same school board as yours. Being connected to the TDSB gives you charitable status. We've done tax deductions a number of times before. I believe our schools secretary processed it. Talk to your principal, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Does anyone know what tax deductibility means for a sponsor. Is it a direct 1:1 compensation or is a a percentage?
