What teams have won the Industrial Safety Award. Can you share your experiences and advice for a team attempting to win it?

Re: Industrial Safety Award

Industrial Safety Award sponsored by Underwriters Laboratories: Celebrates the team that progresses beyond safety fundamentals by using innovative ways to eliminate or protect against hazards.
This being said, just go above and beyond introducing safety into your season. Whether it be on your robot, in your pits, even introducing it and sharing it with others. There's a lot you CAN do including: having gloves to work with, always wear safety glasses, have a knowledgeable safety captain who can talk about how to handle any first aid situations/ acid spills/ etc., have a battery safe charger, take batteries off when they are fully charged, and there's so much else! And whatever you do, tell the judges! That is the most important part, is expressing to them how hard you are working to make "Safety FIRST."

Remember: If you truly work hard and deserve the award, you won't be let down if you don't get it.
