Eclipse Hangup waiting to install WPILib Development Plugins

I've followed the instructions for setting up Eclipse for C++ and have reached the step where I must add the WPILib development plugins. I follow the steps on the webpage, but the install hangs at this point at the "Calculating requirements and dependencies" phase. It seems as if the installer can't download the necessary files from the target website.

I attached a screenshot. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

Eclipse also seems to hang when trying to contact update sites when I try to check for updates.

I've turned off Windows Firewall - no luck. I have no other internet issues elsewhere with the laptop. Is there some other kind of network setting I should verify?

No, based on the fact that it found the plugins makes me think it's not a network issue. Is this a new install of eclipse that you're using? And is it the CDT (C/C++) version?

It did have a previous and separate installation of WindRiver Workbench on it. I didn't go through any uninstall procedure for that (do you need the original install media for that - I didn't see any uninstall option). I just deleted the C:\windriver folder but the install problem persisted.

Yes, it is the C/C++ version. I used the same file download to install eclipse on two other laptops with no apparent issues (yet).

So it's working on some laptops, just not on that one. Are they running the same version of Windows and same hard drive configurations (only a single drive/partition)? I'm just looking for something clearly different between the working computers and the one that doesn't work. Is that laptop connected to the internet when you're doing that step? It might be that eclipse is looking for some dependent plugin on one of the preconfigured update sites and it can't connect to it.

Yes - I used the exact some source files to get two other laptops running correctly (so far).

All are running Windows 7, and that's all that's on the hard drive.

And yes, I'm connected to the Internet during the install attempt. It's very strange.
