What is a campfire?

To be very blunt, I have no idea what a campfire is. My thought was to have some place at each regional where Chief Delphi Addicts could get together and say hi. A place where we could put faces with to the many comments posted on the forums. The idea about pictures is great. If someone has a better suggestion, I'm all ears (my wife says I am anyway).

The big meeting sounds like a good idea... but if I were named David Kelly I might want to hide because of some of the often controversial comments he often posts... j/k Dave-O. But we better be nice about it and none of this "So you're teh jerk who was bashing me on CD!"

Maybe the real solution is to not say or do anything that you could be called a jerk for saying or doing. I may not always follow my own advice, but I try to There weren't any problems last year @ Nats and I don't envision any this year.

I thought the web hug was fun last year. I got meet lots of people. Though, I have to admit, I haven't actually heard it being called a "campfire" before. I guess I'm just out of the loop, but what else is new?
