I need some help for Wiring the CAN on the robot for the new control system. Can you use a replacement wires for the CAN-Bus? What I have in mind is using a 22 gauge blue and yellow wire that we have a ton of because our CAN Wires that came with the Robo-Rio are too short. Is this Legal? or can I not do this. Thanks!

Re: CAN wire replacement?
I usually just acquire 20 or 22 gauge green/yellow, and use a drill to quickly twist them.
Although the colors may not be required, we highly recommend following the green/yellow scheme for the following reasons. -Makes robot inspection and troubleshooting easier. -The colors will match what's labeled on the roboRIO CAN connector -The colors will match what's labeled on the PDP/PCM Weidmuller connectors. -The colors match the Talon SRX cable harness. It all adds up to a better CAN bus experience. |

Re: CAN wire replacement?
Cool, I usually just Google "Talon SRX User's Guide".
But was it helpful in answer your questions about wiring? |
