Network Tables in LabView 2015

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get into network tables so I can make my team's robot communicate with the controller. I'm still a new programmer, and have no experience with network tables, is there anything I should know about them and how to use them? I couldn't find any tutorials online. Thanks!

Tutorial 6, accessed from the LV Getting Started window will cover this to some degree. I also saw a few things online, but nothing jumped out at me.

Be sure to look at the context help of the VIs.
