Go to Post Titanium is almost twice as heavy as aluminum. I can have the bragging aspect of making a bullet resistant robot, but if someone is coming into a competition and shooting my robot, I have more important things to worry about! - Andrew Blair [more]

1189 in the S. Cal. regional?

Student on team #173, RAGE robotics, from Rockville High School and UTRC.

Is that for real or is it an error. Go see it at the FIRST website, in the results section. How can you do that?

2 goals balanced, 4 robots in endzone, 1 stretcher, 3 big balls, 10 small balls under 30 seconds.

(40 + 10 + 30 + 10) * 4 * 3 * 1.1 + a rounding error

It was quite an amazing match! too bad no one got it on video

oh wait, this isn't the rumor mill

I think that was an error, I believe the highgest score right now is 625 scored in the great lakes regional yesterday...

if you take a look at the list:

- those aren't the teams that competed at that regional

- the number of matches played by each is insanely random

- teams that are listed as playing matches don't have any match points

etc
etc
etc

i think it's a tiny little fluke FIRST hasn't had the opportunity to fix yet

And hey.. if someone got a 1189.. i would hope there would be quite a bit of hype in the FIRST community about it..

I'm still amazed by that 710 match.. wow.. now that's team work...
