Re: Alamo Regional 2015
Something I found interesting while watching the Alamo Elims was the 231, 1255, and 457 alliance.
I'm sure everyone been a part of (or at least seen) a team that wasn't ranked in a position where their performance should have placed them (in either direction). Not knocking on 231 by any means - I'm sure their robot will be working much better at Lonestar and they were working hard all weekend - but they were still struggling during elims. But they did a heck of a job creating an alliance that could compete. Blarglefish did a fantastic job stacking totes and the Grease Monkeys capitalized by capping them. It was an alliance capable of breaking 100 points. It's a shame they were never able to take advantage of 1255's solid autonomous pulling totes and containers into the autozone with them. Great job by all 3 teams to get an 8th seed alliance into the semifinals! Scouting is important, and I think it goes to show that you can still do really well with a team that focuses on doing one thing well in this game. |
