FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs
For some reason, my driverstation isn't saving my team number and logs even though I have connected to my robot, enabled it and run commands. Every time I close driverstation, even while I am still connected to my robot's bridge, it resets my team number to #xxyy.
I have tried re-installing the newest version of driverstation from the FRC website and followed every instruction in the tutorial, I have tried changing my IP address in the network settings for IPv4 like you had to do last year, but it still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

It sounds like you don't have permission to create/modify files in certain directories.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs
I have tried changing the permissions for everything and I have tried starting driverstation in "Run as Administrator" mode but that still doesn't work.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs
Well, you can try getting around the permissions problem.
Try renaming the FRC directory to something else, then creating a new FRC directory in your local Documents folder. It just won't be accessible from other user accounts. |

That doesn't work either. I'm going to try creating a new user on my laptop and run driver station from there to see if that changes anything.

Ya, that didn't work, so now I am re-installing all of the NI Software on my new user account which is also Administrator.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs
Thanks to everyone that helped me. I got it to work. I created a new user that was admin, went in to Registry Editor and deleted every registry key that was related to FRC and uninstalled and re-installed all of the FRC Software. I also made sure to disable fast-startup when I was installing the FRC Software.

Re: FRC Driverstation not saving team number and logs
You don't have the Driver Station running under another user at the same time, do you?
