Re: 2015 IN Kokomo City of Firsts District Event

Our team has been blessed to be able to compete at such a deep event with so many great teams! We pulled some of the highest qual averages of the season, and the eliminations were so exciting to watch!

We would first like to thank our alliance partners, teams 234 and 3865. 234, we were watching you closely since day one and really hoped we would be able to ally together in order to take maximum advantage of our totes, bins, and noodles, and it worked out great! We loved working with you and hope to continue at Purdue and State Champs. 3865, you pulled out some great moves as the third robot, scoring a few totes and especially pushing the litter out of the way. Our score swung by 20 points or more in some matches since you denied the opponents noodle points! We could not ask for a better alliance for the finals at Kokomo!

We also want to give a special thanks to teams 71 and 107 for your help today when we had some robot issues. You both stepped up to help us get working as fast as possible and we could not have performed as well without your help. You guys rock! This really shows the high level of Gracious Professionalism in Indiana and Michigan!

We also want to congratulate the finalist alliance and thank them for the excitement in the finals. 5402, to be an alliance captain your rookie year is a treat by itself, but you made some great choices and led a great alliance all the way to the finals, kudos to you! 3494 and 4982 both carried through and made stacks, and we started getting worried when we saw you scoring (in a good way).

We were also excited to win our first ever Chairman's award. We have been trying for years, but it has never quite been enough compared to many other great teams that win Chairman's (looking at you, 234 ). This year, we had three dedicated team members that spent nearly all season working on Chairman's, and a dedicated team who wants to spread our passion for Engineering and Science throughout our community. Thanks to them, we were able to earn the award.

Great job to all of the teams that competed this weekend, and we hope to see you all at Purdue and/or State Championships. Go Indiana!

Thanks! We were incredibly excited about how we did. Our scouts, drivers, coaches, etc. all did a fantastic job for our first ever tournament. We ended up getting wonderful alliance partners, and we really enjoyed working with them. We're so thankful to all the other teams who have helped us out this season so far: 45, 234, 3147, to name a few, and we're looking forward to seeing if we can continue our success at Purdue!
