CIS 4607- Cystic Fibrosis Awareness

This year CIS 4607 has partnered with the 65 Roses Foundation to bring awareness to Cystic Fibrosis. All members of our team will be wearing these lanyards to the Northstar Regional to show our support. A student on our team, Evan Girtz, also created a video that provides some information about CF. It moved me and I hope it does the same for you.

I'm not the contact on this particular aspect of our team but I know we were talking about doing something involving other teams! I'll check with people on our team who would know and I'll get back to you.

Re: CIS 4607- Cystic Fibrosis Awareness

One quick safety note... Please ensure the lanyards are a "quick release" style - if they get caught in a robot or a drill, we want a clasp on them to open up and come off, instead of dragging your student around by the neck!

This looks like a totally awesome awareness campaign! You guys should look into something cheap and easy (stickers maybe?) for volunteers. Make it non-team centric (many volunteers won't wear team items in order to remain neutral... Plus 50 lbs of buttons is heavy!), and I bet you could get most volunteers to wear it!

Good to know about the lanyards. Thanks for the heads up! We are definitely looking to do something non-team centric and stickers are a great idea!
