10,000 Lakes Regional

The Swartdogs are looking forward to making our trip north to Minneapolis next week to work with our Minnesota friends again. We really missed being there last year.

Help us welcome teams 5515 and 5516 from Shanghai and Shenzhen, China.

Our drive team and practice robot have been pretty busy the last few weeks.

Excited to have you guys back this year at 10k. We were very impressed with your performance at Northern Lights and the high scores you guys posted up there!

The practice bot video looks really impressive as well. Our team does not have a practice bot but we are making the most of our withholding allowance and working on some new additions that we'll implement at 10k to help save us time during a match.

It'll be exciting having foreign teams at 10k again. Last time we had that was 2013 with synergy coming from Mexico to compete with us. This time teams from China!

We are excited for the upcoming weekend too! Your practice bot looks amazing and can't wait to see the competition bot in action.

We have made a few changes on our practice bot that we plan to show off this weekend and are really looking forward to getting our competition bot to a higher level.

Good luck to all teams this week!

Re: 10,000 Lakes Regional

4536 is eagerly awaiting the 10K Lakes Competition. We've got some major additions that we hope will make us very competitive, we just have to find the weight for them first.

It will be great to have 525 back for this event after they skipped last year, and we will be happy to welcome the rookie Chinese teams 5515 and 5516 to the US.

There will be 3 wildcard generating teams in attendance 525, 1816, and 2500.

Team 2823 is looking forward to being back at our home territory. Duluth was awesome, and we learned a lot, but there's no place like home.

We, too, have made some improvements. (Don't worry 2052, we fixed the autonomous (Or so we hope )) Can't wait to see everybody again!

No worries 2823 haha. I think your auto crashing into our bot may of been lucky since that match was our first match in Duluth where we made our first capped 6 stack.

Re: 10,000 Lakes Regional

Congratulations to 525, 2502, and 3184! You were an amazing alliance and fun to watch. Big thanks to the rest of the wild card alliance - 2052 for taking a chance on us and 4198 for the awesome teamwork - you were both excellent partners. And of course a nice job to all other alliances, there were certainly some tense moments in playoffs, and everyone played great. The team can't wait for St. Louis and the State Champs!

It was awesome working with you guys and 4198! I was very delighted when I found out you guys got wildcards too. See you guys at champs!

As for the regional winners they were awesome. You guys could of pulled 200 points or more that's for sure. 525 was flawless and 2502 wowed us all with their improvements! 3184, I'm happy your team will be making its first trip down to Champs!

Congrats to 1816 for chairman's and 2500 for Engineering Inspiration. Your commitment for outreach is strong and promotion of STEM is very apparent.

This regional was a blast. Thanks to the volunteers who put up this event once again in the twin cities!

Re: 10,000 Lakes Regional

It was incredible to work with Swartdogs and Talon during the finals matches, helping to improve the consistency of our robot.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the improvements that 2052 made since Duluth, more than doubling your stacking efficiency. We are considering a withholding upgrade based on your interior ramp. I'm very disappointed that the inspectors had a problem with Zipline, what a great idea to build the stacks under the cans. I'm glad that every team involved in the finals was able to make it to worlds, you all deserved it for such a well built alliance.

Thanks to all the volunteers, especially the queuers, to whom it may appear that we try to get them to come to our pit as many times as possible

Also a shoutout to Yoji for wearing one of our hats in every Quals match we were in!

Congrats on going to nationals! I didn't realize that you were on Blaze, but I wish I could have talked to you at the regional. You may not remember me, but I was on your home school BEST team.

Thanks for the compliment. Just to be clear though, the inspectors had no problem at all with Zipline. The problem with Zipline was that our starting configuration was deemed illegal by the head referee. In his opinion, our robot was being supported by the RCs at the start of the match, which is not allowed.

You probably haven't seen the last of Zipline though.

Sorry about that. I seem to remember someone saying that you were waiting on legality from the inspectors. Any ideas on how to get around that?
