2015 Champs Pre-Scouting Spreadsheet and Form

In this thread, StAxis created this really amazing spreadsheet to keep the pre-scouting data for all 8 sub-divisions in a common location so it's easier to find. However, as that spreadsheet was messed up several times, we decided to create a form for teams to fill out instead. As my original post may be hard to find, I decided to create a new thread so more teams are aware of this change.

Form to enter information about your team's robot:

All submissions can be viewed in the "ResponseImport" tab, where they will be checked before being added to the "Robot Input" tab. Each sub-division's tab is automatically updated to include the most recent version from that one.


Notes:
1. You don't need to fill in all areas--feel free to submit just what you know. If you have additions, corrections, or changes to make later, you can either comment on the spreadsheet, resubmit the form, post here, or PM StAxis or me.

2. Please keep all submissions accurate and relevant. This will help us save time in having to check the inputs.

3. Please use the form to submit information, not the comments on the spreadsheet. The inputs from the form are automatically converted to a format that we can easily copy over, while the comments are not.

If you catch any mistakes in the form, see anything that's confusing, or have any other suggestions to improve it please let me know! Also, if you'd like to help with checking through the submissions and copy them over, PM me with your email and I'll be happy to add you.

Thank you to StAxis for setting up the original spreadsheet, so all I had to do was create a form built on the existing template, and to dellagd, for his great work with google sheets, creating the ResponseInput tab and other features to make copying the inputs from the form to the spreadsheet much easier.

As there have been a few teams that have submitted the form multiple times, or submitted the form after filling out the spreadsheet previously, I just wanted to clarify how I'll be dealing with new / different data:

If the form is filled out completely with new / different data, I'll replace that team's row with the newest one form submission.
If the form has just one or two fields filled out with new / different data, I'll manually copy the cell(s) over to the existing row.
If the form has most fields filled out, I'll replace that team's row with the new one, and if I see old data that was lost, manually enter back in the old data.


Therefore, if you'd like to correct your team's data and will be changing all but a few fields, it'd be really nice if you could answer all the questions (even those that are still correct) so I won't have to make sure to keep the old one. If you'd like that cell to be blank, please note it in the "Additional notes" box.

Also, since there are now multiple ways to enter data, this is how I'll be choosing which one to put in: PMed data/corrections > form/resubmitted form > comments.

The form response spreadsheet automatically imports team websites from a list, which then appears in a tab in the actual spreadsheet which we copy from. (The spreadsheet also has every team website already in it, which creates an annoying conflict...) I'm not sure exactly where that list comes from, but it seems to be an official list from somewhere. If you see an error with your team's website link (or any other team's), please comment on it in the spreadsheet or PM me. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!
