How to upload / run pre-2015 code & robot?

hi,

for local demos we are looking to also demonstrate our 2014 robot. i know that the DS can go to a pre-2014 mode, but I'm not sure how to upload updates to code or run it etc.

we use Java and have used eclipse for 2015, and netbeans for 2014. do i need to reinstall netbeans and the 2014 wpilib addons in order to upload the 2014 robot's code? is there a step by step guide or is it super simple and i'm missing something?

i haven't tried running the code in eclipse yet, as we're figuring out the mess of electrical stuff, but any help is appreciated.

I'm assuming that you're talking about the old cRIO's and cRIO II's.

I don't know how to get you enabled with java on those platforms, however this post on WPI may interest you

Java and C++ are similar enough that you should be able to either switch or at least bridge the gap for now. Certainly better to change languages than to put all those nice cRIOs up on a shelf somewhere to forever collect dust.

Hope this helps
