Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful season this year,
My team's main issue is that many of our experienced students will be leaving next year, which leaves a huge gap of experience and knowledge, luckily we have excellent mentors to help out with the mechanical end of things, and many students are capable of electrical work, while being guided by our mentors.
However, we are lacking in the programming department, and have no real mentor to aid with this, I personally am trying to take the initiative to step up and take the programming lead next year,
I have basic java experience, but have never worked on a physical project before, my question: where can I start with FRC Java Programming? My fellow team mates and I have setup a control system trainer that we will be working on, should I start with that?
Also if you have any tips on filling this talent gap, please feel free to share!
Thank you!
