Seeking Advice for Curriculum Writing

Our team recently decided that we haven't been quite happy with the way we've been teaching our team so we decided to change the way we introduced robotics aspects and concepts. We were inspired to make a change after going to a panel at last year's world championship held by a team (The Wirecats, I think) who introduced the program as the modular system. I could not get in contact with them, so we've kind of been flying blind on how we'd imagine a modular class would be built. If anyone has been using this system, or, has a system in place that they like, we'd love to know what it is, how it has been working for you, and how it is formatted.
