Lighting at Nationals

Posted by Tom S. at 04/24/2001 11:25 PM EST

Student on team #177, The Bobcats, from South Windsor High School and International Fuel Cells.

Did anyone else notice that the lighting on the indoor fields at nationals was a lot less than last year? a lot of the pictures we took of our robot came out as grey blurs because there wasn't nearly enough light.

Just wondering if anyone else saw the same thing, or knew a reason as to why this happened.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Most of my pitures didn't turn out either. I'm glad I video taped.

Lighting was a little worse than last year on the four fields. Unfortunately, the only cameras weren't sensitive enough to give good pics in the end corners and there was a big speaker array in the center of the shot. But...just happy to be able to get video and audio from the the various stages.
Note for next year, be prepared for broadcast style output connectors to feed your vcr.
Al
