I think this is something that EVERY school-sponsored FRC has to address with their respective Activities/Athletics department.

One of my roles on our team has been to solicit funds/write grants in supporting many of our key volunteers in helping with our VEX iQ, VEX and FRC programs.
I think because it has been a part of my scope for so many years, our administrators over the years take it for granted and EXPECT that we will do this. With over 650+ organized robotics programs from grades K-12 in Hawaii, I hope we finally break through and make Robotics equally as important as sports with respect to coaches/assistant coaches/volunteers stipends and positions created at the State level. It certainly wont happen at our school level, where our rural school is a revolving door with leadership and stakeholders.
