Can you believe it: After today, all the Back to the Future movies would be taking place entirely in the past! I think that's really freaky to think about.

Re: The future is NOW!

Also here in Pittsburgh it is sort of big (probably not on the scale of Chicago at all). I'm sure there's more then a few references to the Cubs winning the World Series in Chicago? Haha.

We don't have our hoverboards yet, but the flux capacitor is an option on the Ford Focus.

Get used to it. I clearly recall this same moment ca 1984 (Orwell), Sept 13, 1999 (when the nuclear waste dump exploded on the moon per Space 1999, a really cheesy TV show) and 2001 and 2010 (Clarke). Hitting 1975, when Heinlein put a man on the moon, wasn't as exciting, as we beat his time by six years. I certainly didn't imagine that we wouldn't be back on the moon for forty more years (and still counting).

It's a superconductor running on a magnetic track below the surface of the skate park. Lexus hasn't released any specs on it since a production run would be completely impractical, but I would assume that the nitrogen evaporates rather quickly.
