What is everyone's favorite movie??

Ahhhh...This is easy. My number one rated flick:

'Lawrence of Arabia' (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0056172)

It must be seen on a really big screen to be appreciated. The scene, some thirty minutes into the movie, where Sherif Ali Ibn El Kharish (Omar Sharif) rides out of the sweltering desert to arrive at his well is pretty stunning.

Okay, my favorite flicks released semi-recently include 'Almost Famous' (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0181875), 'American Beauty' (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0169547), and, of course, who doesn't dig 'The Matrix' (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0133093).

wow, lots of good movies listed, but y'all forgot the one with the best car pile-up scenes, and my favorite, The Blues Brothers Movie (the original)

The Iron Giant and Mulan are the best animated movies ever made.
Starship Troopers has one of the greatest action sequences ever filmed. It would be better though if they took out all the dialogue and any scene where someone's not getting maimed. And I still belive that ST got absoluteley ROBBED of the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects in 1997 or whatever.

probably no one has ever heard of either of these...but, my favorite movies in the whole wide world are "Tootsie" and "A Chorus Line"

Soo many to choose from, Fight Club, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Office Space, Amercian Pie ( 1 & 2 ), Fast and The Furious, Spaceballs, Not Another Teen Movie, The Royal Tennanbaulms. . . The list goes on.

im not that great when it comes to rating movies, mostly because i prefer to read the book before the movie, and that usually ruins it. however some of favorite movies include:

the alien trilogy (the others shouldnt count)
Indiana jones (so much better than james bond)
the shining
IT (yes, "IT")
the matrix
jurassic park (only the first)
jaws
the mummy
rumble in the bronx (best of jackie chan)
ET
black hawk down (the most gory movie ever)

but my favorite movie of all was Armaggedon

and if you you want my recomendation of future movies, i think that "Red Dragon" will be very good because the book was great. Watch out for a surprise ending!

Labyrinth, The Usual Suspects, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, War of the Buttons, Billy Elliot, The Cat From Outerspace (okay, it's pretty bad, but the cat's cute!), Nightbreed, Schindler's List, Trainspotters, Top Secret...

Except for Nightbreed, this doesn't even touch the cheesy horror movies I have a fondness for.
