help

I'm on a rugby team. Does anyone know where I can find 10 inch high traction wheels. Or if they're even allowed

Re: help

I'm assuming by rugby team, you mean rookie team?
If you're not sure if the wheels you're looking for are legal or not, I'd encourage you to spend some more time reading the manual!

Most wheels are legal as long as they don't damage the field or field elements.
Your best bet for finding wheels in the size you want is to do a bit of research, and if you find something but want to know if anyone else on CD has tried that product, then post with that asking for opinions.

Obvious places for wheels that others are using: AndyMark, Harbor Freight

I've been out of the build season game for a while though!

Re: help

I don't know of any COTS wheels bigger than 8" with FRC-style hubs. We were looking at larger wheels and were looking at wheels with built-in bearings and drill the mounting holes ourselves. We've looked all the way up to 14" this year. We're planning 8's now, but we still have those 14" cart wheels that we bought for a prototype that we'll probably use for a robot cart.

Re: help

From the wheels I've picked through and looked at, anything larger in diameter than 8" would require a hub modification to get the axle shafts through. Just do a little more research and find out what will work best for you guys (and of course pick through the manual.) Good luck!
