Re: New York City Regional
On behalf of Team 5030, we would like to thank everyone involved with helping set up, and run this event. A big thanks go out to all the CSA's, Inspectors, Volunteers, FTA's and especially the Field Reset crew, who may have had one of the hardest jobs constantly switching out the field.
I'd like to congratulate the third seeded alliance on some hard fought final matches. 3419, 578, and 3017 made a close set of final matches, at the end of the matches, our alliance wasn't sure who won the match, and both matches were within 10 points, easily being able to go the other way. Good luck to 578, and 3419 at your next events. Congrats to 3419 on also making it to Championships with a wild card spot. I would also like to thank our alliance members, 694, and 5016 were both amazing teams to work with. Both teams were great when it came to working on match strategies and planning what to do. We couldn't ask for more from our alliance partner, you really complimented our robot and fulfilled the roles we asked you to. Congrats to 694 on winning Engineering Inspiration as well. Good luck to both teams at your next competition. Lastly I would like to give a shout out to the #1 seeded for some close fought semis, and really pushing our bot to the limit. This is the third year a team I was apart of had to go against the Robotigers in eliminations. They always know how to put up a fight. Good luck to you guys at Long Island. |

Re: New York City Regional
Like others have said, congratulations to 3646 on their amazing Chairman's win, as well as to a killer winning alliance of 5030, 694 (congrats on EI as well), and 5016! Lastly, a job well done to the RAS winners at 5891...can't wait to see all of guys in St. Louis!
Thank you to all 66 teams for making this year's New York City Regional one of the best yet, and here's to an exciting rest of the season from team 5123! EDIT: Shoutout to 2869 for not only a Dean's List finalist but the regional WFFA as well! Last edited by anishde : 14-03-2016 at 14:24. |

Re: New York City Regional
I would just like to thank everyone who attended for making this year's NYC regional the most fun I've ever attended in my four years as a student. Shout out to teams 1796 and 806 for being such great alliance members and to all the teams who offered to help us out(271 coming in clutch with a bearing).

Re: New York City Regional
Congrats to 5030, 694, and 5016 on their regional win and to 3646 on your Chairman's Award. The view from behind the scoring table as the entire venue gave you a wholly deserved and resounding standing ovation was nothing short of incredible.
Once again, thank you 334, 1796, and 4481, this is a prime example of gracious professionalism! |

Re: New York City Regional-2016 Pit Map
We will be a different hall than we were in last year, but the entrance is the same. Use the map as a guide for team layout. We didn't work to convey any other information about the pits in the map. There will still be the Con Ed Machine Shop and the Practice Field by the wall closest to the pit entrance.

Figured I would post some progress of the GIS map I am making of all the teams going.
I started with the 42 teams from the 5 boroughs. And, This is is what it looks like. ![]() |

Re: New York City Regional
To answer a few questions,
Yes the event will be held in a different (slightly smaller) Hall this year(still at the Javits!!). I don't think it is much to be concerned about. We always had an abundance of space in the hall we are used to. The pits were confirmed to be 10x10, early load in is allowed in the times listed on the agenda but no early setup this year(now that FIRST has left that option to the events discretion). There will be a webcast this year, and we shouldn't be fighting bandwidth issues like we have the past few. We will have the link posted by early next week the latest and will be sure to share it here, on Twitter, and with TBA. See everyone next weekend! Re: New York City Regional
would anybody (or any team) be willing to input their scouting data from the event either during or after into my scouting database?
I'm hoping to get information from all competitions, and do some neat stats info and whatnot ![]() please PM me if you'd like to help! |
