Wheel size/type-Poll

I would love to know what size and type of wheels every one oped for this year. Having read many threads over the last three weeks I looks like I might be in the minority by using 6" pneumatic wheels. So what wheels did you choose and what made you choose them?

PS how do I add a poll?
PPS found it.

Re: Wheel size/type-Poll

We're using two different sizes of wheel - 6" and 4" AndyMark Hi-Grip wheels in a mock tank tread fashion.

That must be a pain to gear down. The driving factor in wheel size for me as the designer was making the smallest possible wheels work. That way we could have a small gearbox with small reductions. I like things small.

At one point, we were at 14 inch wheels, reduced with chains.

Currently (and probably finally) we have 8 8" wheels and 2 4" wheels, all non-pneumatic, three different treads.

Edit: I checked other.

Re: Wheel size/type-Poll

Six 8.5" pneumatic wheels, standard drop-center. It's the first time since 2011 we've had more than 4 wheels. Man is this thing heavy...

I suspect that most if not all of the tiny little feet and mecanum responses are from trolls.

We are using 4" mecanum. And I'm not entirely trolling you.
