General question about joining tank tread together ?

Hi everybody...

Has anyone tried to join together 10 ft. of Blue Nitrile Roughtop Tread, 1" Wide tread for the robot? We've tried a few things already, but we are having a little trouble joining it together. Any advice would be great.

Thanks all.

Re: General question about joining tank tread together ?

I am assuming you are referring to the blue nitrile rolls sold by AndyMark. Typically we suggest you place these on wheels as a tread, not run them at lengths. We also sell the alligator clips that you can use to join two ends of these tread. The alligator clips rely on having enough tension in the belt to prevent the small pin from falling out.

Typically if you were looking to use a tank tread, I would recommend purchasing a belt designed to be continuous already, such as the Rhino Track Drive belt, or look through some of the threads here on CD for different tread options!
