AM-0914 and the PG71 Gear Box Usage

Hello,

I had a quick question concerning a motor rule. I apologize if this is the incorrect place to ask this, if so, please let me know the correct protocol.

I see that in the 2014/15/16 rule book, the listed motors only include the AM-0912 as an acceptable motor, yet the AM-0914 + PG71 gear box was provided in the KoP in 2014. Was it usable in 2014 and if so is it still an acceptable motor to use even though it is not listed in the manual?

Thank you,
Karl

Re: AM-0914 and the PG71 Gear Box Usage

I believe you're looking at the wrong line. Two rows down is the AndyMark PG line with its model numbers.
  • am-2161 (alt. PN am-2765)
  • am-2194 (alt. PN am-2766)
These are the "stock" motor numbers sold and included in the KoP with the PG gearboxes at different times.

Re: AM-0914 and the PG71 Gear Box Usage

Motors in past years KOP are not automatically legal. For example the infamous globe motor & Fischer Price motors of various generations. Fortunately for you (and me) The AndyMark PG motor is listed as GeeTwo point out.
