So we were having an argument on the visibility of our pressure release valve, so we just ended up painting it. However I then checked the rules and noticed R76 in pneumatic rules. About "modifying" devices. I was wondering if it did not change the operation of the device, if it was still illegal. Thank you.

Re: Painting Release Valve?
DO NOT PAINT PNEUMATIC COMPONENTS.
Use a sticker or a label to make it more visible You will need to get a new valve if you painted the old one. Please do not sand blast the paint off or do a chemical peel or.... Don't feel bad about this, many really well known and experienced teams have gotten dinged on this in the past. Isaac |

Gus,
Remembering that day still makes me smile. You have to know all the players in the picture to really appreciate the picture. |

And I like remembering being able to tell him "I told you so"
