Recommended configuration for practice robot

Sorry if this has been discussed in an existing thread, but I had no luck when searching.

Title says it all. For robot unveil we would like to be able to drive them at the same time (assuming we have either one done :-). I am leaning toward having them set up identically (with the same team number) and then manually editing the broadcast id of the radio on the practice bot.

Anyone else have a better method?

Thanks

Re: Recommended configuration for practice robot

We've done two options.

1. Configure the radio of each robot with the Radio Configuration tool, then change the SSID of one of them. Connect to the AP that coorespeonds with the robot its on.

2. This is for older years, but we would power the D-links with USB power (5v), set them as Access points on 5Ghz, different SSID's, then have the radio on the robot bridge to it. This isn't suggested anymore.

The only time you can't have the same team number is when you're on the same network. However you could have the radios on the robots bridge to a central router if they have different team numbers.

Thanks that is what I figured, but wanted to make sure we were not missing anything important.
