Team 171's Robot Reveal

Robot Specifications:
Drivetrain
  • 6x 8" Pneumatic wheels.
  • Front wheels driven off of 1 CIM Tough Boxes.
  • Middle and rear wheels driven by 2 CIM Tough Boxes on a pneumatically actuated bogie configuration(watch video).
Intake
  • Roller driven by a bag motor and Vera-planetary gearbox.
  • Roller surface is a pool noodle and 3M grip tape.
  • Scoring is done in the low goal by reversing the intake.
  • Wheel on end of intake used to raise portcullis.
Climbing
  • Tape-measure used to deliver hook.
  • Three winches using 550's and 200lb test fishing line.
  • Robot is leveled by gryo.

OK, so I have to admit something here, I LOVE CHEESE CURDS!!! Now that we've got that out of the way. What a fantastic drive train! Looking forward to playing with you guys at Midwest Regional.
