Can old DLink radio be used for home testing? How?

We accidentally bagged our radio after our last competition and want to use our spare control system to make some code modifications ahead of our next competition. We want to implement cameras and some sensors so we need to run the code on our spare RoboRio. We do not have a second radio but we have several old DLink radios from prior seasons. Can we use a DLink in tethered mode? If so, how does it need to be configured?

Thanks.

You can use it wired or wireless. The Radio configuration utility will configure it for you. Just select it from the dropdown and select 2.4GHz AP, 5GHz AP or Bridge (and make sure you have the switch in the matching position).

And once you configure it you have to remember to change your IPv4 to 10.(first two team numbers).(second two team numbers).(a number not assigned to the rio or the camera)

For example: team 303 uses 10.3.3.5
Our practice bot is team 3030 and that ip is 10.30.30.6

You need to do this for tethered and wireless.

Re: Can old DLink radio be used for home testing? How?

We used a DLink router as a switch at GKC since we normally use both ports on the new radio.

We got it working - thanks for all the helpful replies. I wasn't aware that the radio configuration tool had a selection for the old radio still.
