[FTC]: FTC robot controller app not responding (zte speed)

We're practicing for worlds right now and we've been having a lot of problems with the FTC Robot Controller app lately. After 30 second or so of starting the Teleop the robot just stops responding.
We have checked everything, the gamepads are still connected and working fine, the phones are connected, there is no error in the code, both phones show that the program is running, the motor controllers are connected.

If we quit the app and reopen it, it gets stuck on "Robot status: init" forever.
If we try to restart the robot on the other hand it freezes on init again but this time the "Restarting Robot" message gets frozen on the screen even after we quit and close the app.

The only thing that gets the robot moving again is restarting the phone, then it works fine for another 30 seconds.

We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, we checked that we have the latest version of both apps, we even factory reset the robot controller and installed everything again but it didn't fix the issue. We don't know what else to do.
