Radio Problems preventing Teleop
Hello,
I am attempting to remotely drive my robot through Driver Station, when I go through the whole set up driver station shows me that Communication is good, Robot Code is good, and Joysticks is good. However when I enable and go to drive there is no response from the robot. It says that I need to check power to the radio and that there is some connection/communication error. However the radio is on and completely functional. It also shows on the Diagnostics page that the only thing that is good is the Robot, everything else under Communications is not working. In addition, on the Power Distribution Module both the Stat and Comm LED's are orange and blinking. I don't know if what I previously mentioned is of any consequence but nonetheless it is a new development. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Radio Problems preventing Teleop
Did you reprogram the radio since you last used it at competition?

Re: Radio Problems preventing Teleop
We have already reconfigured the roboRIO as we were able to drive it once already but haven't been able to as of now. Something happened that we are unaware of that caused our current perdicament.

Re: Radio Problems preventing Teleop
The blinking amber lights on the PDP indicate that a fault condition has occurred at some point. The roboRIO web dashboard can tell you what that fault was, and will let you clear it so that the lights blink green again. The typical "sticky fault" comes from a low battery voltage condition.
Are you using a fully charged battery? It's possible that your battery is weak and any attempt to run a motor causes the voltage to drop so far that everything shuts down. |
