Look out for team 67...

With a two week rest, the HOT team has made some significat changes to their robot. VAST inprovements is both traction and reliability. Be sure to check them out at Berkley. I believe the changes will be very evident from the stands.

Good luck to all...

Great Bot

Team 47 had the pleasure and honor to play with 67 in a match. We had a great score. They took the high road and we took the low road. Add to that our great pushing ability and we were a strong team.

Some scores of 67 were not as high as they should have been because their partner needed to protect them so they could score. The "Chief" is a powerful protector with a skilled driver.

Hope we can partner up again with 67.

Not to be under-done, team 201 is adding a new thing for the finals. It will give us an avdantage over many teams, in a 'definsive' way. Becuase we have allready played in our three competitions, you won't know what it is till the finals.

Watch out!

Flirting and Clarifications

Boy, it sure sounds like the Chiefs are flirting with the HOT team, doesn't it? I wonder just who's going to be asking who to the big dance! There are several OCCRA teams with unrealistically low rankings who have incredible potential, provided they work out a few bugs before the finals. Here's a clarification that needs to be made: can a team refuse to be an ally if they are picked by one of the teams ahead of them? Let's here it, Rules Committee...

Hopefully now they won't need as much "protection" as before. We'll see...

Team 47 did a fantastic job in the match where we won the "Play of the Day" award. I'd have to say it was the best OCCRA match I've seen.

I am curious to see what the finals alliance choosing format will be. My only request is that seeded teams CAN pick other seeded teams. You don't want to penalize a team for doing well. I've seen it time and time again in FIRST where it was better to be an unseeded team than a low seeded team. Maybe keep the top 4 for picking each other if you don't want any "super-alliances"?

Thumbs up Huskies and Falcons

Team 65 and Team 201 would be the best partnership there is at finals. No tall robots can out score 201 simple design and you better protect your cart from team 65!
