Robowrangler Sheet Metal Giveaway Round 2

Hello All,
The Robowranglers have been doing a lot of organization as we move into our new shop. We are cleaning out and getting ready for FRC STEAMworks in 2017. Through this cleaning we've identified several spare parts and assemblies which we don't have a home for.

In the past, we've had a few other FRC teams ask for some of our extra sheet metal (we do our best to help out with these requests). In each of these cases, the teams would later comment on how much they learned about sheet metal fabrication techniques by analyzing the components and assemblies they received. We know it is helpful to review a CAD model, but there can be a benefit from holding a part in your hand and trying to bend it in different ways.

We're offering a several different Robowrangler assemblies to other teams for educational purposes. These are all spare components since we don't disassemble our competition robots after a season.

If you're interested in one of the items listed below, send us an email at robowranglers148@gmail.com with your request, and we'll do our best to accommodate. Items will be sent on a first come first serve bases. Please send a first and second request and we will do our best to send your #1 item.

If you have any questions about these components or this offer, shoot us an email!

Thanks,
Madison

1.Renegade 2016 Prototype Chassis 1
This was a prototype drive used in 2016 Stronghold to test the durability of #25 chain and 775 pro motors. This was also used to test our wheel configuration on the competition defenses.

2. Renegade 2016 Prototype Chassis 2
This was a prototype drive used in 2016 Stronghold to test the durability of #25 chain and 775 pro motor gearboxes. This was also used to test our wheel configuration on the competition defenses.

3. Batman Chassis 2015
This is a spare drivetrain chassis from our 2015 robot, Batman. It was shaped like a C so it could intake full stacks.

4. X-006 Chassis 2012 (x2)
X-006 was a prototype drivetrain before the 2013 season. This drivetrain tested butterfly modules.

5. Renegade 2016 Chassis
These are spare C channels from Renegade’s drivetrain. These show how wheel spacing works and certain sheet metal bends.

6. Renegade 2016 Intake Rev 2 (x3)
This was the second redesign of our 2016 intake. This sheet metal shows how to compactly fit a motor and gears in a tight area.

7. Renegade 2016 Intake Rev 4 (x3)
This was the fourth redesign of our 2016 intake. This intake was more efficient than the previous one. This intake shows sheet metal bends and has a better presentation than the previous Rev.

8. Vader Shooter 2014
This is a spare catapult used in the 2014 game.

9. Renegade 2016 Catapult Rev 1 (x3)
This was the first design for our catapult. The sheet metal design efficiently shows lightning patterns.

10. Renegade 2016 Catapult Rev 2
This was the second design of our catapult. It worked better because it had a lower bend angle.

11. Renegade 2016 Structure (x2)
These sheet metal pieces were made to connect the hangar and catapult to the belly pan/drive base.

12. Renegade 2016 Drum
This was our hangar drum. This design shows how the same sheet metal part can be used multiple times to create a solid piece.

13. Batman 2015 Stackers Rev 1
These stackers were used in the 2015 game during auton. They were mounted off of Batman's rails.

14. Batman 2015 Stackers Rev 2
These stackers were used in the 2015 game during auton. They were mounted off of Batman's rails.

15. Batman 2015 Stackers Rev 1 with flaps
These stackers were used in the 2015 game during auton. They were mounted off of Batman's rails.

16. Batman 2015 Arms
The purpose of these arms were primarily for structure. They connected to the 4 Bar in the back and stackers in the front.

17. Robin 2015 Back Arm
This piece was for structure at the top of Robin. The sheet metal is a C shape and connects from one side of Robin to the other, while resting on the human player station.

18. Robin Base + Robin Trap Door 2015
These were the components of the bottom of Robin. The base was the very bottom that sat on the ground and totes were stacked on. The trap door kept the totes aligned inside Robin and was shut until Batman drove into Robin to intake a full stack. These parts show how sheet metal can be designed on a larger scale.
