Re: NEW DLC Pack 2!
Here is how I hear it:
- ..... --- .- --. .. ... .- ..-. --- .--- - I don't think I got all of the gaps correctly identified though. In Morse code that is: T0 OAG IS OJT |

afoot |əˈfo͝ot| adverb& adjective 1 in preparation or progress; happening or beginning to happen: [ as predic. adj. ] : plans are afoot for a festival. 2 on foot: [ as adv. ] : they were forced to go afoot. I think Definition 1 is true, but not what's intended by the ringtone, as we already knew that. From the thesaurus: afoot adjective & adverb evil plans are afoot: going on, happening, around, about, abroad, stirring, circulating, in circulation, at large, in the air/wind; brewing, looming, in the offing, on the horizon. The ones that seem relevant to me are "stirring", "circulating", "in the air", and maybe "on the horizon". Flying game with steam? I then used Wordsmith's Internet Anagram Server to do some rearranging. The results are way too long to post here, but that link will take you to the first 1000( ). Here are all 107,143 of them. No, that is not a typo. Note that it will not load quickly!Last edited by ctt956 : 27-10-2016 at 21:43. Reason: Typo |

"Circulating", "in the air" and "on the horizon" stand out to me. Maybe it's something that the robots would need to push through the air throughout the entire game?? |

Re: NEW DLC Pack 2!
After looking at the wallpaper, I noticed the following.
1. Some of the socket pieces around the border appear to have "CRAFTSMAN" engraved in them. (See attachment for a close-up of this) 2. The other socket pieces have text engraved in them, but I can't read it. 3. All of the tools in the picture can be used to drive nuts or bolts(wrenches, adjustable wrench, pliers, sockets) 4. Some of the above sockets have a unique star-shaped head 5. The large paintbrush has a different texture on it 6. The guy with the black top hat is holding something interesting... 7. The minibot with tank treads appears to have a V-block engine on it 8. The robot on the large board(behind the girl pointing at the ceiling and holding the gear thing in her other hand) has interesting motor placement 9. There's something interesting about the drum(for lack of a better word) that can be seen in the background. It has something different on one of its vents(it can be seen next to the guy holding what looks like part of a car transmission). All of those are circled in the image below. Here's a link to the image. ![]() Last edited by ctt956 : 27-10-2016 at 22:24. |

Re: NEW DLC Pack 2!
Literally, "the game is afoot" means "that which we are hunting is on the move". How curious that the "practice game" we reverse engineered from the reveal video involves throwing nerf footballs through moving ring goals.
Also, for a more, er, creative use of the phrase, see No Phule like an Old Phule, by Bob Asprin and Peter Heck. |

I would love to see the scoring areas move. Something where you place the game piece at Point A, but then because of it, Point A is moved. Maybe something like a balance scale. Such would make your "game" move. |

Scoring areas (goals) have moved before, though it was due to robot actions, not field actions. 2001 Diabolical Dynamics, 2002 Zone Zeal, and 2004 FIRST Frenzy all had goals which could be moved by robots. 2009 Lunacy "goals" were trailers mounted behind the opposing alliance's robots. |
