Re: Strange comms issues

Are you saying the Driver Station connects correctly via Ethernet, but not via wireless?
Has your robot radio been reset for home use since your last competition?

Re: Strange comms issues

It's your PC then, so have you tried disabling all those things that vary from PC to PC:
  • Windows Firewall
  • any and all anti-virus software

Check what IP your wireless connection gets assigned vs the Ethernet port to make sure it's compatible with the roboRIO.
The ipconfig you posted looks good for the wireless connection, but doesn't show what the Ethernet address would be when connected to the robot radio.

Re: Strange comms issues

I had the same issue on my laptop. In the team number field in the driver station, enter roboRIO-####-FRC.lan (where #### is your team number). That fixed it for me.

Re: Strange comms issues

In that team field in the Driver Station Setup tab that beijing_strbow mentioned, you can also click on the down arrow to get a list of the roboRIO's it has found and choose from that list.

Exclamation Re: Strange comms issues

If you are using Windows 10 try using an older version of Windows we had the same problem using Windows 10. Just a thought.
Good Luck,

Re: Strange comms issues

alright, now, trying to download code, i get this:
Trying Target: roboRIO-247-FRC.local
Unknown host: roboRIO-247-FRC.local

entering roboRIO-247-FRC.local into the team number feild on the ds connects to the bot, however.

Re: Strange comms issues

Did you follow the troubleshooting steps?
http://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/...roubleshooting

You can also try using .lan in place of .local for downloading code.
You can also connect via USB cable and use 172.22.11.2

Re: Strange comms issues

If you haven't re-configured your robot radio since your last event, you might need to do so. If you haven't re-configured it, the WiFi light on it will probably be red (or at least that's how it is on my team's robot).
