Between the 2013 and 2014 season, we released the FRC Survival Guide app, an app focusing on a build season structure that teams can emulate. After feeling it was a little neglected, we decided to revisit it and make improvements on it. This has been our primary project for the last two months. We were planning on releasing it earlier, but there were some complications over the last few weeks. We have also committed to more regularly updating the app, adding more information along the way.
The primary goal of the app is to provide a resource for rookie teams, or even veteran teams alike, that they can use as a general framework for build season, as well as tips, suggestions, and examples to help teams accomplish these goals and have a successful build season.
Even if the general structure we have laid out does not fit your team exactly, it could still be useful as we have also included some other articles, acting as some introductory knowledge to the various aspects of a robotics team.
It is currently available on Google Play
here. We plan on releasing it on iOS as well. That version should be coming soon in the future. We encourage any of you who are interested to download it and check it out, especially if you team currently does not have a solid build season plan. It would mean a lot to us. Critique is always welcomed as well!
I was one writing content rather than programming it, so most critique on the programming side will be forwarded to our App Development team and I'll answer through them, or I'll get them to get on CD and answer it themselves
Thanks!
