Hey everyone!
I'm writing in behalf of team 4640 the Metallic Panthers from NYC. Our team is in its 4th year and still struggles with finding engineering mentors. Our wonderful mentors put in endless hours and time but the truth is we NEED engineers to also help us. If anyone knows of any mentor (...Mechanical engineer, Fluent in Lab-view, or any type) who could help us, please let us know! Thank you so much and we hope to here back from all of you. ![]() |

Re: Mentor Help
Contact Thunder Down Under and their Mentor's Without Borders program. There are other Mentors without border programs as well.

Hi!
3132 here, we'd love to help! Please feel free to email us at firstroboticsteam3132@gmail.com or PM me so we can figure out what works best in this situation. Alternatively, if you get "stuck" in the middle of build season, feel free to reach out to frchelpnow@gmail.com through Google Hangouts (or if that's hard, an email) for instant support 24/7. |

Re: Mentor Help
A quick look at Google Maps would appear to indicate that your team's school is only a ten minute walk away from Columbia University. You may want to reach out to their engineering or computer science departments to see if any students or professors would be interested in helping out. From my experience, college student mentors, especially FIRST alumni, tend to make very passionate and knowledgeable mentors.
I'm sure you can find some FIRST alumnus/i at Columbia who would be happy to get involved with a team again. Last edited by Brian Maher : 12-01-2017 at 21:35. |
