How is your team planing to SCOUT the matches this year?
Won't be easy keeping track of a bazillion yellow wiffle balls flying through the air all at once lol

That's a pretty good point. Going to be a little bit of subjective scouting required for this year. We are probably just going to try and get hopper dimensions for each team's robot and scout teams based on cycles.

An idea brought up by one of our mentors was to track the balls to the best of your ability, then double check the alliance's score with the blue alliance afterward. Split the different between the robots who had any balls tracked for the high goal (or by a set margin from you). Results in non-integer amounts of balls scored, but you could either round or just include those.

Re: How is your team planing to SCOUT the matches this year?
Team chemistry will be important this year. An important part of scouting this year will be finding teams whose strategies mesh well with yours. For example if you have a bot that can consistently place six gears it would be important to find another bot that could do the same (it would get you the RP/100 pts.) and a bot that can earn points from the boiler. I think some of the best alliances this year will be made of teams that perform unexpected strategy combinations.
