New on team; need advice.

Hey,

This is my first year on my team. I would like to know how I can get up to speed and make myself useful.
I'm in programming, and we're using C++. I have very limited experience with C-based languages.

Re: New on team; need advice.

Something very useful is to know the tools available to teams when programing their robots. I would explore the ScreenSteps and look at all of the documentation available to teams.

Something else you can do, if you learn best by example, is to look at the examples. After installing Eclipse and the FRC Plugins (take a look at ScreenSteps for instructions) open the examples by doing:

File -> New -> Other -> WPILib Robot C++ Development -> Example Robot C++ Project

I would recommend going through other teams githubs and looking at their code.
