My team and I have been trying to connect to our robot using the old DAP 1522 RevB, but we ran into a couple of errors and the best shot we ever had only allowed us to upload our C++ code using eclipse...
We tried using multiple radio configuration utilities from past years but they all gave us errors saying that the IP failed to change, so we proceeded to manually configure it. We had a bunch of bugs and glitches and sometimes the static IP would change back to dynamic and had to reconfigure it again and again until it somehow worked.
After that, we were able to connect to the radio, and upload the code, but the driver station never detected anything besides the bridge that stayed on green.
Quick note: sometimes when launching the driver station you could see the robot code and communications online for a split second...
We want to use these radios to make tests on prototype robots and not have to spend more money on another one of the new radios.
(This is the first time I get to deal with robot communication and I'm learning my way through it

roboRIO has image version FRC_roboRIO_2017_v8
and my computer runs windows 7 (64 bit)
