It's All About GM

All I can say about Ford is that it stands for Found On Road Dead!!! The only car I would even want that they produced was a Viper....How many companies can make the Corvette, Chevelle, Camero, and the Trans Am...

I could be nice and give you a chance to go back and edit this, but too bad for you.

1. Dodge makes the Viper, that's just sad that you got that wrong.
2. It's a Camaro, not a Camero, I'm a Ford guy and I know that.
3. Need I point out all the 5.0s on the street that will own Corvettes? And that's just one of Ford's great engines/cars.

Mustang
Mach I
Cobra
Cobra R
GT
Ford GT
Lightning

Those are just the fast ones that Ford themselves make, not to mention the fact that Ford has a lot better aftermarket support (Saleen, Roush, Steeda, etc.).

My blood is Ford blue, but I don't see it as necessary to attack each other, except in good fun. Heck I wouldn't mind owning a new T/A, Vette, and Viper.

One more thing, it's First On Race Day, get it right.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

The only thing Ford people are good for is to put money back into the economy! GM is just retarded. They steal the ideas from other companys (look at their new trucks and tell me that DODGE RAMs didn't have that tail light before the GM Trucks did...) GM is just a rip-off of a company. Look at the RX-8 and the SS concept. Tell me that that isn't a rip-off

RX-8

SS Concept

GM is just a rip-off company, Ford is just flat out cheap. Ford has the most recalls amongst any other car company out there. (but I will say, Ford has sold the most cars out of any other company for fairness)

Now, I'm assumeing that you all should know by now that I am a Chrysler man. Dodge/Jeep specifically. Chrysler has the title for having most cars sold with a turbo! (WooT!)

hmm. and this is why ford has only had 2 recalls for 2003, and chrysler has had 4 already.

p.s. my mom has a dodge minivan. its 3 years old and on its third transmission. well it was. as of saturday, it is in the shop again because it can only go 15 mph.

Ok, now, when you took it to the mechanic, did he put in Merceron or Dextron III or something like that?

For ALL CHRYSLER TRANNYS! (FROM THE BEGINNING TO 97) YOU HAVE TO PUT ATF +3 THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED! I had a Jeep Cherokee w/ the I-6 4.0 and all of it is original parts. 92' w/ 180,000+ mi!!!

My Proof (click here)

There's my proof. Make shure that that mechanic puts ATF +3 APPROVED BY CHRYSLER!! Some +3s are not up to specs w/ Chrysler's specs...

BTW, and, so what? Chrysler is just better at catching their stuff. Ford will just wait till someone is hurt! (LOL! Srry! )

The trouble with the American car companies is they are so busy making trucks that they have gaping holes in their car offerings. If you want a sporty, but utilitarian rear drive car that will carry items of cargo like RC airplanes, the American companies don't have it. I recently bought a slightly used Lexus IS300 Sport Cross. It is Toyota's competition for the BMW 3 series and Mercedes C class. It has a high tech inline 6 engine, independent rear suspension, and handles like a very good sports car, but has about 6 feet of cargo floor with the back seats folded down. It looks a little funny at the back, but it drives as well as a BMW 330 sedan.

If one ot the "big three" made something like it, I would have considered it, but for now at least, trucks are the high priority items for the American companies.

Lexus IS3000 = U-G-L-Y

if you want something sporty that carries cargo, try a 1987-1993 Mustang Hatchback, they have a whole lot of cargo, especially with the rear seats folded down, RC plane, no sweat.

But IMO, if I want to haul something, grab the truck, if you are going to fly an RC plane, you are going to a field or something right? (i.e. probably very mild offroad) so I would rather be driving a truck.

On a separate note, Alex's car is perfect.

I agree that the IS300 is not the best looking car in the world, but it's certainly not ugly in the way a Pontiac Aztec is ugly. Anyway, "ugly" is subjective.

As far as the '87-93 Mustang, there is no comparison with the IS300. The Mustang, while fun, is a very crude machine in comparison. It has a solid rear axle which tranlates to a "loose" rear end on anything but very smooth surface. The car is, in general, crude, noisy, and "rough around the edges," and it gets much worse gas mileage than the IS300. The IS300 is smooth, quiet, and at least as fast as late 80's and early 90's V-8 Mustangs, and much faster than 6 cylinder Mustangs.

The "off road" component of going to most RC flying fields can be handled very easilly by any vehicle, including Corvettes, Ferraris, and Vipers. Trucks are for hauling heavy stuff, or in the case of pickup trucks, are for hauling dirty stuff that you don't mind being stolen. If you like quiet, refined cars that handle like sports cars, but will carry some cargo, then BMW and Mercedes wagons, and IS300 wagons like mine fill the bill. There are a few other such vehicles out there, but none of them come from "big 3" manufacturers. I hope that will change in the not-too-distant future, but I'm not holding my breath.

i have a high-quality p.o.s. car... it is a "2-toned" standard trans. '93/'94 Geo Metro that has seen more than a few wrecks in its time. Sadly, after school today it stalled and wouldn't start again. ok... 45 minutes later i return to school and after a thorough inspection of my 'go-cart' the results are inconclusive, but now it runs. darn... i was hoping for a 'new' car!
