At Work with a "1.5mb downstream and 512kb upstream"

I wholeheartedly think SNET selling out to SBC was the worst thing ever for both DSL and phone service. Aside from crappy software they now offer crappier service. I'll try again when I get home on 512kb down and 128k up with cable.

I was holding the can and pulling the twine tight... but that's all I get, at least at home.

I should get some sort of prize for the slowest.

ever since i put in a line splitter on my 56k data line, i have not been able to connect higher than 33.6kbps. yet, in my little brother's room he always connects at 41.3, whats up with that?! usually i connect at 44kbps. once i got up to like 50.3 or something like that, it was crazy. but i shall continue to rock the 56k until the T3 god saves me. SAVE ME T3 GOD!!!

Your upload speed : 25641025 bps, or 25641 kbps.

Your upload speed is much faster than down.. have you tweaked?
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

I think we have dual OC-3 connections coming into the Lab. In the past, I've been able to move very large files (>>100M) from Microsoft Corp. in Redmond to my desktop at better than one megabyte per second .

A PC that I have at home hooked up to my SBC 1.5M/128K ADSL connection:

2003-01-02 03:41:24 EST: 1228 / 110
Your download speed : 1228197 bps, or 1228 kbps.
A 149.9 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 110116 bps, or 110 kbps.
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

Seems kinda low. I frequently get files from work at 160KB/s.
