I'm thinking a jumping robot would be extremely cool. I mean, come on, jumping over the bar, and being able to jump on top of robots on the ramp to get 25 points, and jumping over defending robots to knock over stacks, etc. Of course, I'm already putting my energy into building a helicopter robot, although the number of pictures on Gadget's computer has blown my mind and now I am unable to think . . . . .

who sez that going under the bar and making stacks are mutually exclusive? flashback to two years ago: "nobody can make a robot to go under the bar AND lift the ball to the top of the goal." solution: see left. yes, it did both. anything is possible. our bot could go 13 feet high and is around 14" tall. 13 feet is around 8 bins or so, right?
in resopnse to another point: if your robot has the option of being able to go under the bar and not being able to go under the bar, doesn't that weigh a lot?

are you really building a helicopter robot? if you are do you think you could send me some info on it, that would be very sweet...

The only reason to not build a robot that go under the bar is that 14" is really small to fit under, and some of your ability might be limited if you choose to build a robot that small.

The top of ramp is so slipery and huge that most robot should be able to pass through it during matches.

I have a feeling some would rather stack up 15 bins than go under the bar, or have the ability to protect a stack with the whole robot.

I have an design that can go under the bar AND stack up to like 8...hehehe....

GM28 Robots may not intentionally:
· Detach Parts (no connection at all to a robot);
· Remove the lids from the containers;
· Damage another robot;
· Tip over another robot;
· Attach themselves to the ramp mesh or framing material;
· Attach themselves to the railings/walls of any field structure.

In 2k1, we didnt attach to the structre, we put the "forks over the structue, i think GM-28 mean permanatly attaching somthing, but there has always been a rule like that in the past

Team 25- Didn't you also put your forks on the wooden 2x4 piece under the metal railing? could you guys have gone over the bar if that piece wasn't there?
