Pneumatic Cylinders
What are the specs on the cylinders supplied in the kit (not counting the 4 we can order)? We received one large cylinder, and the BOM in the pneumatics manual lists one large cylinder. However, a FIRST reply on FRCtech2002 says that 3 cylinders are supplied in the kit, giving us a posible total of 7 to use on the robot.

Cylinders
The cylinder in the kit is a 1 1/2" bore x 8" long double acting cylinder (double acting means you must supply air to both ends make it extend and retract). This is listed in the Pneumatics Manual on the BOM page.
I have asked FRC2002 the question regarding the quantity of 7, since the BOM page only calls for 1 cylinder, and the max ordered is 4. Hopefully they post a response soon! Regards, Scott358 Last edited by Scott358 : 12-01-2002 at 08:21. |
