About noisemakers...

Have noisemakers been banned from competition? It most likely was a rumor, but some members of the team heard that noisemakers were not allowed at this year's competition. Is this true or just a rumor?

Section 8.4:

Refrain from obnoxious noisemakers and objects that can damage bleachers or floors.

Alease read the Manual and web sections that deal with this matter. Some sites have been damaged by teams with sticks that pound the floor/bleachers. We encourage teams to use sense with their enthusiasm. Teams and staff need to hear announcements and the team queuers. The Pit staff must be able to hear people when they ask questions. Use your good judgement. We are not noise police, but we are interested in everyone having a good time. This is a time for courtesy and gracious professionalism.
