Question Grundy Team?

Does anyone know the status this year of the Grundy, Va. team that was featured in the A&E Special?

Unhappy

Unfortunately from what I understand, Grundy's team will not be participating this year. I'm sure Justin Stiltner (he usually haunts the Technical board) would be able to tell you more - he is an alumni of the team.

They couldn't find the sponsership this year. Justin's addiction is still strong though and he is trying to be a part of it. Yes, he's still trying to find out a way to get his fix through our team. Shoot, we took the Grundy team to Nats the year they were featured on A&E. THAT was an interesting trip. And during regionals, those guys with the cameras following anyone who had any connection with them. Boy were they annoying.

Talking

hehe I decided to come out of the tech board hole and visit some other topics tonight!

Our (team 388)'s problem this year wasent funding, we could get that.. but it was politics, basically our main sponsor would have had her job jepordized if she did the team agin. Its a small town and a few ppl whos daddies and momies dident get their way and they cryed about it at home and it just kinda went from there.

Yea those guys from a&E were VERY annoying... every time you turn around they were in your face asking questions when you really dident have time to answer them, or when you just dident feel like answering them such as after a bad round.

Yes as was said my team was always interesting...
the year he talked about we had about an 80% femal population on the team includeing a beauty pagent queen, 7 cheer leaders, basketball players, and well you get the picture.. needless to say we were a very popular team for random visits from other teams .

I hope to be getting some of my fix this weekend tho time has become hard to find...

well im crawling back into the tech boards now.. back where I feel at home !

*big hugs* tnx lora,

The cameras followed us(Team 116) too.
I concur in their anoying-ness.
Grundy will be missed.
