Go Firebirds!
Team 103 would like to extend congratulations to our sister team, 433, the Firebirds, for an impressive showing at the Philidelphia Regional this past weekend.
It was great to see you win the much deserved Xerox Creativity Award, and your robot, with that telescoping arm, is a great machine. We are confident that more success is on the way for your team, and look foward to seeing you in Houston. Great work guys! Last edited by Kathryn : 30-03-2003 at 19:54. |

Thanks. We were quite happy with our performance at Drexel. One of our drill transmissions broke during our second semifinal match leaving us unable to steer, otherwise we might have made it to the finals.
Congrats to Cybersonics on your awards, and on seeding second. I noticed that Cybersonics and the Firebirds were the only teams to make it through the qualifying rounds with only one loss, and our only loss was our first match. Good luck in Houston. |

you guys did great. The only thing that was dangerous, but funny now, cause they changed it.
After their arm went out to knock down the boxes, the robot drove forward with the arm still out, and ran into the wall. As it drove itself into the wall, the arm caught the seam between the pieces of lexan and slid one of them completly out of the wall. |
